What is Cultural Diffusion?

Cultural diffusion is pretty much like gossip, that starts some where and ends up another, like gossip it spreads quickly and when more people know the faster it spreads.  Cultures over time com die loated and changes other cultures over time.  Ever heard of the game telephone.  I used to play it when I was little, its when one person starts with a saying they pass it on and then the person on the end says what they "think" the word was.  Most of the time it changes a bit and sometimes it is not even close at all.  Over time humans have been finding writings from many years ago like from Egypt, but there only so much that we can know.  Like the pymaids, huamns found, they can only understand what they have found and have to relay on science on the rest.   Cultural diffusion is much like the game of telephone, in that information tends to get altered over time and the further it gets from its original beginning.
