I believe that religions expand why the the mouth, and the word on the street. It depends on how largely the society it is, the larger it is the faster the word gets out. Its like gossip, as things fall apart, people tend to turn more towards religions, which is what they know.
Like in Student Government and we are voting on something, when the majority of the people rise there hands for it, then you do to. As the word gets out about new religions and people liking it, people want to be apart of the community. Also like the Nazis they had different speakers with different accents, from the south, east, west and north of Germany, people felt like every one was in it. And it was important to fit into the group of the community. As the religions grow and the word gets out, and the more people are in the religion the more will convert.
How people do or don't know which religion they want to believe in?
If you want to believe in religion and need to find the well rounded one, that fits you best. To admit, there is no religion that an perfectly convey what you want. I am Jewish and believe in the religion, but I do not agree on everything, I may agree on something else from another religion. Like why cant Jews celebrate Christmas? All religions belong to someone on the earth, not every body believes in religion though. Its nice to have someone looking at you and that knowing your not all alone.
